EA Sports is releasing a new “FIFA Face-Off” tournament in 2021. Are you ready for it?
It will feature influencers, FIFA pro players, and community members. Among the best-known, we could say is Jason Sudeikis, who will be competing as Ted Lasso, a famous character from the AppleTV+ show of the same name.
Other popular film roles include “Horrible Bosses”, “Hall Pass”, and “We’re the Millers”.
Sudeikis is going to compete against other celebrities like Emmy® Award-winning and Comedian “Trevor Noah”, Latin Grammy Award “Nicky Jam”, American Music Awards winner “Becky G”, and “Brendan Hunt”, Ted Lasso’s co-star.
This tournament will be hosted by FIFA celebrity “Castro 1021” and it will be divided into two parts and we will see FIFA pros and celebrities teaming up to compete in FIFA Ultimate Team to win $25,000.
In addition to playing FIFA 21 matches, this tournament will also include “funny mini-games” and other opportunities for viewers or people watching at home to participate in the tournament in some capacity. This was well thought out and viewer-caring.
EA said that they selected members of the community from a video submission contest that saw “tens of thousands” of submissions.
“Having previously no experience coaching soccer, or football if you will, Ted Lasso is the perfect candidate for dominating in an EA Sports FIFA esports competition.
